ALBUM#3 MEDICAL LETTERS

I was in shock when the manager of Ridgewood office of Bank America told me I could not seat while working. She always states that the policy of the bank is not to let the employees to sit. I provided medical letters from doctors that had performed surgeries on my legs but she not even wanted to receive it.

My personal physician also sent her letter asking for consideration to my medical conditions but she had ignored.

The surgery of my right knee was close in time with the surgery of my left leg. It made hard for me to work standing. Many times, I went to the doctors in tears asking for help but they could not do much more than give me medical letters to present to her. She also prohibited me to park my car by the building’s parking lot. I needed to go couples blocks away to find a parking. Due to the discomfort while walking my personal doctor help me to get a Disable ID so I can park in handicap spaces.  I have lot of medical history to be granted a chair to sit while working.

Estuve en shock cuando la gerente de la oficina de Ridgewood de Banco América me dijo que no podía sentarme mientras trabajaba. Siempre me decía que la política del Banco es no permitir  que los empleados se sienten. Proveí cartas médicas de los doctores  que habían realizado cirugías en mis piernas pero no quiso recibirlas. Mi médico personal también le envió una carta pidiendo consideración a mis condiciones médicas pero ella no hizo caso.

La cirugía de mi rodilla derecha estuvo  cerca en tiempo con la cirugía de la pierna izquierda. Fue difícil para mí trabajar de pie. Muchas veces, fui a los médicos en lágrimas pidiéndoles  ayuda pero ellos no podían hacer mucho más que darme cartas médicas que se la presentara.

La gerente me prohibió dejar mi carro en el estacionamiento del edificio del banco. Tuve que dejar mi carro a varias cuadras de distancia. Debido a las molestias que tenia al caminar mi médico personal me ayudó a obtener una placa de discapacitado para dejar el carro en estos espacios.

Trabajar en desesperación, sin esperanza, no pudiendo hablar era otro tipo de discapacidad, hay mucho dolor y miedo. La preocupación es otro efecto secundario de morir.
